Land & Property Services is a part of the Department of Finance in Northern Ireland and is responsible for billing and collection of property tax for 1,000,000 properties in Northern Ireland.

The task was to implement a fully digital mobile workflow to be used by 100 users covering 2000 valuation and appeal cases a month and seamlessly integrate with a legacy line of business system

The solution

Apex built a tablet solution that allowed users to complete full inspections on-site. They could then manage photos and complete any accompanying documentation. Data and media seamlessly synchronised between Apex and AO (a legacy CRM system), via a staging table, in order to complete cases entirely in the field.

The result

The result was a fully mobile workforce and the implementation of a work from home policy. The accuracy of data collected, level of compliance achieved and case turnaround productivity was all improved dramatically.
