What is Process automation?
Business process automation, also known as business automation or digital transformation, is the technology-enabled automation of complex #business processes. Typically having three functions: automating processes, centralising information, and reducing the requirement for input from people. It can streamline a business for simplicity, achieve digital transformation, increase service quality and #productivity, improve service delivery or contain costs.
Too much automation can result in disengaged users, who aren’t invested in your product, it can also present serious challenges for workers and communities will the loss of jobs, change in the skills needed and likely increasing inequality. Whilst Process Automation has many benefits when used too much it can waste time and resources.
At what point do we risk losing the human touch?
Automating everything risks losing the human touch and friendly face of your company. When customers can’t get support from a human, and the automation in place isn’t equipped to help them, they will inevitably feel alienated.
The question is will Process Automation replace many human jobs?
@The World Economic Forum (WEF) estimates that the increased use of #technology and automation is expected to displace 85 million jobs by 2025.
@Businessmodelsinc.com says that, with every job taken over by machines, there will be an equal number of opportunities for jobs to be done by people. In many cases humans and machines will find themselves in symbiotic relationships, helping each other do what they do best. People and machines can and will work together in the #future.
