@Kennected tells us, The Covid-19 pandemic has made a huge impact on the professional landscape. It has changed the way businesses operate by forcing people to stay indoors and avoid close contact. Most industries have adapted to these changes by shifting to a virtual approach.
Are you Zoom exhausted?
One of the biggest examples of this shift is the rapid rise of video conferencing. @Zoom alone saw an increase in its active user population, reaching 300 million users in 2020. Since the Covid-19 pandemic hit, we are on video calls and online #socialnetworking more than ever before, many are finding it exhausting, zoom fatigue is real.
Being on a video call requires more focus than a face-to-face chat, says @Gianpiero Petriglieri associate professor at @Insead. Video chats mean we need to work harder to process non-verbal cues, this consumes a lot of energy. “Our minds are together when our bodies feel we are not. That dissonance, which causes people to have conflicting feelings, is exhausting. You can not relax into the conversation naturally.”
Will VR be the new normal way to meet?
Video has replaced the physical world in many instances, as companies stay out of the office or move to a more hybrid way of working. Businesses are moving towards the use of VR meeting #technology, to enable communication and collaboration among teams around the world. Could this really be the future of corporate and #business meetings?
A virtual meeting is like a traditional meeting except it doesn’t take place in the standard office setup. VR headsets transport an individual into a virtual office where the meeting is held. Virtual meetings are considered the future of business meetings, in the way everyone has smartphones before you know it VR headsets will be just as common. VR meetings aren’t going anywhere.
Will the adoption rate of VR mean it becomes second nature?
According to @VT Worldtech As enterprise adoption continues to grow, a new generation of professional #software applications and tools will emerge, coupled with accelerated innovations on the hardware side, in order to overcome ‘Zoom fatigue and make the ongoing #future of remote work a reality
